Fink became trapped under the right rear tire of the bus and suffered undisclosed injuries. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene at 11 a.m.

No children were aboard the bus at the time, police said, because the vehicle was being utilized to train new bus drivers. One trainee was behind the wheel, while four more trainees were passengers, along with one instructor, police said. No other injuries were reported.

Durham School Services owns the bus. No criminal charges were filed. ••
